1. cheap pad - 90 or 140 lb. cold press - large size. (not necessary, but while learning it’s easier on the pocketbook)
2. Arches 140 lb. cold press block 18” x 24”.
Or for larger size and more economical - Arches 140 lb. cold press individual sheets 22” x 30”.
(if you go this route you will also need a light weight waterproof plywood sheet 31” x 23”
+ clips to hold the paper. Or I’ll teach you how to stretch it with butcher tape.
3. Heavyweight paper spiral notebook or photo scapebook.
4. #230 drafting tape.
Cloth hand towel.
Easel.
Portable (for landscape painting only) - your choice. Just remember
you will need to carry it along with your other supplies.
Portable chair or stool.
To be used for landscape painting. Canvas fold up
works well. Swain’s has good ones.
