plastic wide neck best but anything designed for liquids. |
Watercolor Paper, notebook and tape. |
(For best prices, I‘ve found
www.dickblick.com but there are many other sites to check out. Swain’s
in Glendale is also quick and good with their sales.) 1. cheap pad - 90 or 140 lb. cold press - large size. (not necessary, but while learning it’s easier on the pocketbook) 2. Arches 140 lb. cold press block 18” x 24”. Or for larger size and more economical - Arches 140 lb. cold press individual sheets 22” x 30”. (if you go this route you will also need a light weight waterproof plywood sheet 31” x 23” + clips to hold the paper. Or I’ll teach you how to stretch it with butcher tape. 3. Heavyweight paper spiral notebook or photo scapebook. 4. #230 drafting tape. |

Portable (for landscape painting only) - your choice. Just remember you will need to carry it along with your other supplies. |
Portable chair or stool. |
To be used for landscape painting. Canvas fold up works well. Swain’s has good ones. |
